An observation - November 1st

Some time ago when I was on a bus returning home from school, I noticed a teenager getting shouted on by an elderly man, who was also swearing profusely while doing it. Apparently, the reason for this was that earlier this teenager used a mild curse, and the man heard it, and thought the teenager was disrespectful.

This situation made me realise just how hypocritical and self-entitled some people may be. Of course, the teenager shouldn’t have used the word, but it’s no reason for him to get verbally abused, especially after he apologised multiple times throughout this situation. Some people demand respect, even when they themselves have none for other people. I noticed that nowadays this is especially true for teenagers and some of the older generations. Most of the teenagers are likely grow out of it with age, but the elderlies are much less likely to change their ways, especially since they were taught that elders deserve a special amount of respect. They do, but some apparently think that they deserve special respect, and other people don’t.
